Chris Hammett has thirty years' experience as a writer, theater producer and non-profit arts administrator.
Chris was co-founder and managing director of Falconworks Theater Company, based in Brooklyn, New York, from 1997 until 2022. In that role he led the company's financial management, fundraising, compliance, and HR functions, as well as helping develop and manage programming including Falconworks' award-winning Off the Hook playwriting program for young people, and developing the groundbreaking Police-Teen Theater Project.
More recently, Chris has been Managing Director of Cora Dance, a professional dance company that offers training programs for young people and adults in underserved neighborhoods in Brooklyn, New York, and the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia.
Chris also has nearly 25 years experience with Citigroup and other firms in the financial industry, in diverse roles in marketing, business management, technology program management, and compliance.
Chris holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from Kenyon College, and a master's degree in teaching from the University of Chicago.
